I was honored to present the first “audio body” at a conference called “Women’s bodies and their stories – the gaze of the other” at the Medical University of Vienna (Department of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy) in Austria in November 2019. I felt a wave of solidarity of people who want to improve the well-being of pregnant women. We experienced inspiring discussions with anthropologists, gynecologists, psychoanalysts, artists, etc. The conference was organized by: PSYGYN – Österreichische Gesellschaft für Psychosomatik in Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe. The “audio body” was presented alongside works of two legendary Austrian women artists – VALIE EXPORT and Renate Bertlmann. A trick of the universe!

At this occasion I was given the time and space to talk about the concept and design of the exhibtion “Being pregnant: an exhibition about a condition”. At the conference the experienced artist Renate Bertlmann encouragingly advised me to keep working at it – even if it might take 20 years to manifest my vision of this exhibiton.
