Book project in collaboration with atelier oï and Lars Müller Publishers. As the project director of the book I contributed to the thematic conception of the book, conducted interviews, wrote and revised texts and accompanied the development of the look and feel of the book in close collaboration with the graphic designer Matthieu Visentin and Lars Müller.
This is the logbook of a long journey taken up by three young men thirty years ago at the shores of Lake Biel in Switzerland. It shares many insights and strategies of how to survive in the shaky waters of the design and architecture business when your passion is to follow the guiding star of making meaningful as well as beautiful things.
The publication features archive material as well as descriptions of current projects and photo essays. Statements of designers and partners, friends and critiques, customers and producers let the readers delve further into the world of the multi-awarded design studio. The book also offers an insight into its immense material archive, which has grown over the decades.
